Markiian combines software engineering practice with community organizing and active learning interests.
Hi, I am Markiian Babiak, an undergraduate Computer Science student at Toronto Metropolitan University. I have been a part of the CIRCLE Lab since October 2023, which opened doors to the industry for me and now I am a Software Engineer at a fast-growing local startup that utilizes LLMs in a healthcare setting.
Still, I am particularly interested in event organizing and management.
I am a member of the Ukrainian scouting organization Plast and have been organizing different events and camps for more than 5 years. This experience and my personal interest align a lot with the lab's goal for the care-centric use of Computer Science in education as well as strategies for active and interactive learning.
