Human-Centered AI and Interface Design

Biography

Hi, I'm Etika Joshi! As a Computer Science student at Toronto Metropolitan University, I've always been drawn to the details that earn a user's trust, the clarity of an interface and the intentionality behind every line of code. I'm a coder who obsesses over the tiny UI details that most people never notice but always feel, aiming for software that is as clear and delightful as a great conversation.

Research Focus

I'm super passionate about AI and machine learning and their potential to turn complex data into meaningful, human-centered solutions.

Lab Experience

I've been part of The Circle Lab family since my first year, working alongside undergraduate, Master's, and PhD students who constantly broaden my perspective. Immersed in our research on enhancing education through AI, I've realized that the more I learn, the more there is to explore. This work has pushed me to think more deeply about impact, empathy, and responsibility in the systems we build.
